THROUGH AND THROUGH

The bible talks about a wedding where Jesus is coming for a pure bride – US! To be set apart for that marriage is a special thing. Set apart from attitudes that try to define, and the fear, sin, depression, anxiety and lust that constantly try to overcome our person. It is possible to find a freedom in life that sets us apart and gives new hope. The bible calls that setting apart being sanctified. We find today those who have asked Jesus into their life but still walk paths filled with, sin, depression, fear , anxiety and the lust of the flesh. Never learning of sanctification or being set apart for God. To be set apart means never returning to where you were. It is following a higher calling that introduces you to the destiny of God for your life. A second work of grace flowing from the first salvation. A work of sanctification is both intimate and special. It releases from soul chains and brings a lasting freedom. A work of sanctification is no less than amazing, s...

DEFICIT

You cannot give what you do not have. Could there be some area of your heart or life that you have withheld from the Lord unknowingly? I am realizing that on a daily basis if I do not determine to cast my cares on the Lord, then slowly but surely I am under all kinds of weights and burdens that quenches the fire of love. Our lives should be proving to the world that the Word of God is true. Make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, brotherly kindness; and to brotherly kindness, love. For if you possess these qualities in increasing measure, they will keep you from being ineffective and unproductive in your knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ. There is good news! The Lord is my director, leader, provider, physician, companion, saviour, redeemer. I SHALL NOT WANT. God has given us everything we need for life and godliness. He has given u...

LAYING DOWN

Try laying on your back looking at the sky, day or night (should open your eyes) could bring a new perspective on life. At the very least you could get a good nap. Grand revelations come just by laying down, ceasing from whatever it is that we think is so important, and stopping to consider and acknowledge and give thanks to THE GIVER of that moment. Out of the dust of the ground the Lord God formed you and I. Before He raised us up and breathed life into His creation, there we lay. While the earth is orbitting and our hearts are racing, many things have been set in motion by the Word of God. The sun rises and sets, we go on our busy ways, so much fills up our lives, so much takes up our thoughts and steals our time. Even in all of this the Lord is ever instructing, merciful and kind, calling us back to Himself, waiting and ready to be gracious to us. In the Psalm we are encouraged to BLESS THE LORD AT ALL TIMES and LET HIS PRAISE CONTINUALLY BE IN OUR MOUTHS! We are ...

HE AWAKENS ME MORNING BY MORNING

His word is our wisdom. He is our life. There is nothing we need that Jesus Christ is not. Why should we be seeking anything but Him? The Word of God is clear. THOSE WHO SEEK THE LORD WILL NOT LACK ANY GOOD THING. Psalm 34:10   We would be safe to draw the conclusion that THOSE WHO DO NOT SEEK THE LORD WILL LACK ANY GOOD THING. If you are seeking help from people and find yourself waiting on and setting your hope on someone somewhere to 'reach out' to you, you are in big big trouble. You are seeking help from man and not God. You are relying on what will only end in continual disappointment. Those who hope in the Lord will not be put to shame. Almighty God is the only one who you should be looking to and relying upon. Our reliance should not be upon ourselves. Our reliance must not be upon anyone else, or on riches, or on strength, or circumstances, or wisdom...there is only one who cannot fail and will not fail. We must seek His face! The time you spend bei...

BE HONEST

Have you ever noticed how driven and addicted our society is with tear jerkers, battle scenes, and happy-ever-after movies? Most of the reasons why it moves us so is because it provokes us to feel things we do not allow ourselves to feel in real life. But real life is pain, sadness, redemption, restoration, constant ups and downs, and the end is not yet, but is coming soon. It's time to tell the truth. Be truthful with yourself.  All things are already layed bare and open before the eyes of Him who knows all things. If you want change to come and you desire to be who God has made you to be - it's time to be free of the lies and doubts and insecurities. Stop being carried about by every wind. Are people's opinions directing your life? Who or what has pursuaded thus far? It's time to leave the excuses in the dust.  Do not try to escape the pain. Run to Jesus. Cry out to Him. Tell Him where you are hurting. Tell Him the things you do not ...

LOWER YOURSELF

Heard a minister today speaking out of Psalm 38 about why God wants to get our attention. These were the reasons he spoke of: That we might see our true selves. Hear His voice and Choose His way. And then earlier tonight my sister and I were talking about the book of Job.  His friends felt compelled to continue opening their mouths throughout his suffering, attempting to persuade him to listen to them because they had alot to say concerning the 'Word of the Lord.' Turned out they were mistaken. Eloquent speech, lofty thoughts, and sounded like common sense...but the Lord is beyond our figuring out. All will bow to Jesus and admit they know nothing as they ought. Our momentary suffering will serve His purposes, but let us not pretend to know or dare to describe His reasoning or impress our strong opinions and interpretations on others. Sometimes our actions prove us to be less than a friend and more than a fool. Lower yourself. Spare the suffering sou...

WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?

You want to grow and be more mature? Go through difficulties. Embrace hardship. Press in and press on and do not be easily discouraged. You want to be Christlike and do what Jesus would do? Be still and know that He is God. Stop saying what you will and won't do. Humble thyself in the sight of the Lord and HE will lift you up. Be willing to do whatever it takes to stop focusing on your own needs and circumstances. Look around you and find someone who needs a friend, a listening ear, or someone to help them carry their load... give all you can and expect nothing in return, not even a 'thank you.' If someone has wronged you, do not point it out. Forgive them. Let it go. "The mercy you don't give is the mercy you don't get." God's mercy triumphs over judgement. His kindness leads to repentance. Get rid of any attitudes or perceptions that keep you from walking in agreement with the law of love. . . compassion, self control, forgiveness, and reconciliati...
