FIRST RESPONDER

Stopped at a red light the other day I heard the noise of brakes, tires screeching, and a collision. I looked to my right and barely a block away the cars had collided and blocked up two or three lanes of traffic. It did not seem that anyone was going to the scene to check for signs of life and the two people I did see were looking at the badly damaged car...instead of the woman that appeared to be trapped in the other vehicle. Immediately I pulled over and walked as quickly as possible to the injured lady. The other people standing around seemed to be quite unconcerned, not asking her any questions. As I opened her door it was obvious the woman was a little more than shook up. A few of her fingers were broken or badly fractured, a few of her ribs were fractured, (this info was confirmed as I called her after she had returned home from the hospital to make sure she was okay) and she had taken a nasty hit to the face.
