EVERYTHING WE NEED
"His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through our knowledge of him who called us by his own glory and goodness." 2 Peter 1:3 Everything we need we have been given, through the knowledge of Him who has called us. I was reading I Kings 3:11-15 how God spoke to Solomon in a dream. God said to Solomon, ask what I shall give thee. Solomon confessed that he was a little child and did not know how to go out or come in. He asked for an understanding heart to rightly judge the people. Nothing else. His request pleased God. He did not ask for anything else he could have asked for, but simply divine wisdom to care for the people he was called to govern. God gave him what he did not ask for as well. Riches, honor, and long life. Further encouraging him, "If you walk in my ways and keep my statutes and my commandments, I will lengthen your days."
