YOU KNOW WHAT

My dad passed away 11 years ago. He was an infantry sergeant in the USMC. He served in the vietnam war. Forty years ago he became a vietnam disabled veteran. Just yesterday my mom received a package in the mail from USMC, they finally got around to sending my dad his metals. Evidently paperwork was misplaced sometime between battle, surgery, or his date of discharge. I know at least a few folks that are seeking earthly recognition, working themselves to the bone for what? Exerting energy on wordly achievements, temporary titles and positions that cannot and will not satisfy. It is good to work diligently, as unto the King. Quite a few people aiming for and working towards retirement. Nothing wrong with that I suppose.
