LAYING DOWN

Try laying on your back looking at the sky, day or night (should open your eyes) could bring a new perspective on life. At the very least you could get a good nap. Grand revelations come just by laying down, ceasing from whatever it is that we think is so important, and stopping to consider and acknowledge and give thanks to THE GIVER of that moment. Out of the dust of the ground the Lord God formed you and I. Before He raised us up and breathed life into His creation, there we lay.

While the earth is orbitting and our hearts are racing, many things have been set in motion by the Word of God. The sun rises and sets, we go on our busy ways, so much fills up our lives, so much takes up our thoughts and steals our time. Even in all of this the Lord is ever instructing, merciful and kind, calling us back to Himself, waiting and ready to be gracious to us.

In the Psalm we are encouraged to BLESS THE LORD AT ALL TIMES and LET HIS PRAISE CONTINUALLY BE IN OUR MOUTHS! We are reminded that He has removed our trangressions from us AS FAR AS THE EAST IS FROM THE WEST. We are encouraged to recall to mind His great faithfulness and have hope when our hope is gone. Pour out your heart like water before the Lord - this will require some laying down.

There is a huge deficit in this world, but the good news is nothing is greater or stronger or more powerful than the LOVE OF JESUS. The One who commands the morning lives today in the hearts of those who call upon His name. Let's keep laying down worthless things, ideas, helplessness, hopelessness, and anything that keeps us from total and complete trust and dependance upon our Redeemer. There is so much more that He wants to show us if we will just come to Him.
