FORGET ME NOT

FORGET ME NOT is a brand of greeting cards, but it is also the instruction on how to FEAR GOD and DEPART FROM EVIL written over and over again in the book of Proverbs. A father encouraging his son to not forget what he says. To remember his words. To write them on his heart. Keep them ever before his eyes. Seek God and Live. BUT THE PATH OF THE JUST IS AS THE SHINING LIGHT, THAT SHINETH MORE AND MORE UNTO THE PERFECT DAY. MY SON, ATTEND TO MY WORDS; OPEN YOUR EARS TO WHAT I AM SAYING. LET THEM NOT DEPART FROM YOUR EYES; KEEP THEM IN THE VERY CENTER OF YOUR HEART. FOR THEY ARE LIFE UNTO THOSE THAT FIND THEM, AND HEALTH TO ALL THEIR FLESH. KEEP YOUR HEART WITH ALL DILIGENCE; FOR OUT OF IT ARE THE ISSUES OF LIFE. PUT AWAY FROM YOU A STUBBORN MOUTH, AND DISOBEDIENT LIPS PUT FAR AWAY FROM YOU. LET YOUR EYES LOOK RIGHT ON, AND LET YOUR EYELIDS LOOK STRAIGHT BEFORE YOU. Proverbs 4:18-25

HOW IS YOUR INTAKE?

"Turn my eyes away from worthless things. Renew my life according to your word." Psalm 119:37 Yikes! Do we approve of what God approves of? Or is our standard something other than the Word of God? Do we watch what everyone else is watching? What are we listening to? What fills the airwaves, what occupies the thoughts of our minds? Chance is it is ruling our life. Is our conversation pure and holy? What goes in will come out one way or another. "I will set no wicked thing before mine eyes: I hate the work of them that turn aside; it shall not cleave to me." Psalm 101:3 "Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the Kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Those who practice sexual immorality, idolatry, adultery, male prostitution, homosexuality, greediness, thievery, drunkeness, slandery, or swindling will not inherit the Kingdom of God." I Corinthians 9:10 "The acts of the sinful nature is obvious; adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousne...

NO DOUBT

No doubt fear is an enemy to faith just as sure as sin leads to death. There is no in between or maybe. How can we possibly lead others in the way of truth if we ourselves live in doubt, unbelief, and sin? Faith comes by hearing the Word of God. It is impossible to please God without faith. Faith destroys doubt. Faith expresses itself through love. Matthew 28:17 "When they saw him, they worshiped him; but some doubted." Mark 11:23 "I tell you the truth, if anyone says to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and does not doubt in his heart but believes that what he says will happen, it will be done for him." James 1:6 "But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind." Romans 14:23 "But the man who has doubts is condemned if he eats, because his eating is not from faith; and everything that does not come from faith is sin."

THE WAY OF THE KINGDOM

If I wanted to broadcast a message to the world...this would be it. Eternity is sooner than we think. Every hour of our life here on earth is opportunity to demonstrate the KINGDOM OF GOD by living love. "THERE IS NO GREATER LOVE THAN THIS, THAN A MAN LAY DOWN HIS LIFE FOR HIS FRIEND." John 13:15 How can you lay down your life? Forgive an offense. Forgive a debt. Overlook faults. Supply what is lacking. Serve all who who cross your path. Be selfless. Love well.

GENUINELY OR GENUINELY NOT

It matters not what you say you believe if the way you live your life is in direct disagreement with your proclamation. A friend and I were running through some of our thoughts the other night and both came to the same conclusion. A person is either "IN CHRIST" or they are "NOT IN CHRIST." Your life either proves God or it does not. If it does then God's word abides in you and you are 'abiding' and 'remaining' in Him. I am aware that there is much confusion about this because practically everyone you meet or run into professes to be a Christian or a follower of Jesus. God's Word is written to us so that we may discern the truth and understand reality. 1 John 2:15 "Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him." 1 John 3:14 "We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death...

HE THAT HATH AN EAR, HEAR WHAT THE SPIRIT SAITH UNTO THE CHURCHES.

"From that time on Jesus began to preach, 'Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near.' " Mathew 4:17 "I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see. As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent. Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, e...

LITTLE ONES

For a long time I have been aware that every where I go and all that I do effects others. Every time I step foot out the door it never fails that I have interactions with someone young or old. Today there was a 10 year old young man in the neighborhood where I happened to be taking my niece for a walk. He had more than a few questions and some confusion about heaven and hell, being saved, and where does water come from? As I walked and talked with him I was reminded of the great priviledge we have to communicate truth and our lives say alot more than we think they do. We actually influence so many each day though we may not even realize it. It is very important that we know what we believe in and that we not paint an unrealistic picture for others of the Christian life. It's very dangerous to give the impression that your life is smiles and joy all of the time. Even Jesus wept and sweated drops of blood. But He continually cried out to His Heavenly Father asking for strength and ...
