GENUINELY OR GENUINELY NOT

It matters not what you say you believe if the way you live your life is in direct disagreement with your proclamation. A friend and I were running through some of our thoughts the other night and both came to the same conclusion. A person is either "IN CHRIST" or they are "NOT IN CHRIST." Your life either proves God or it does not. If it does then God's word abides in you and you are 'abiding' and 'remaining' in Him.

I am aware that there is much confusion about this because practically everyone you meet or run into professes to be a Christian or a follower of Jesus. God's Word is written to us so that we may discern the truth and understand reality.

1 John 2:15
"Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him."

1 John 3:14
"We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death."

John 8:29
"And he that sent me is with me: the Father hath not left me alone; for I do always those things that please him."

So a person that is genuinely in Christ may fail at points, but they are still seeking to obey God's commandments, living to do the will of their heavenly Father, and loving the brethren. Those who are genuinely not in Christ might still try to be a good person, but they do not believe it is necessary to obey God's commands. They do what they want or what seems good to them, and they do not know or love God or His people.
