GENUINELY OR GENUINELY NOT

It matters not what you say you believe if the way you live your life is in direct disagreement with your proclamation. A friend and I were running through some of our thoughts the other night and both came to the same conclusion. A person is either "IN CHRIST" or they are "NOT IN CHRIST." Your life either proves God or it does not. If it does then God's word abides in you and you are 'abiding' and 'remaining' in Him. I am aware that there is much confusion about this because practically everyone you meet or run into professes to be a Christian or a follower of Jesus. God's Word is written to us so that we may discern the truth and understand reality. 1 John 2:15 "Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him." 1 John 3:14 "We know that we have passed from death unto life, because we love the brethren. He that loveth not his brother abideth in death...

HE THAT HATH AN EAR, HEAR WHAT THE SPIRIT SAITH UNTO THE CHURCHES.

"From that time on Jesus began to preach, 'Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near.' " Mathew 4:17 "I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth. Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods, and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable, and poor, and blind, and naked: I counsel thee to buy of me gold tried in the fire, that thou mayest be rich; and white raiment, that thou mayest be clothed, and that the shame of thy nakedness do not appear; and anoint thine eyes with eyesalve, that thou mayest see. As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten: be zealous therefore, and repent. Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me. To him that overcometh will I grant to sit with me in my throne, e...

LITTLE ONES

For a long time I have been aware that every where I go and all that I do effects others. Every time I step foot out the door it never fails that I have interactions with someone young or old. Today there was a 10 year old young man in the neighborhood where I happened to be taking my niece for a walk. He had more than a few questions and some confusion about heaven and hell, being saved, and where does water come from? As I walked and talked with him I was reminded of the great priviledge we have to communicate truth and our lives say alot more than we think they do. We actually influence so many each day though we may not even realize it. It is very important that we know what we believe in and that we not paint an unrealistic picture for others of the Christian life. It's very dangerous to give the impression that your life is smiles and joy all of the time. Even Jesus wept and sweated drops of blood. But He continually cried out to His Heavenly Father asking for strength and ...

HEARKEN DILIGENTLY

Proverbs 1:23-33 "Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you. Because I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded; But ye have set at nought all my counsel, and would none of my reproof: I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh; When your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you. Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me: For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the LORD: They would none of my counsel: they despised all my reproof. Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own devices. For the turning away of the simple shall slay them, and the prosperity of fools shall destroy them. But whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of...

JUST A LITTLE LONGER AND THEN...

Be encouraged Precious Saints of God just a little bit longer and then... "And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful." Revelations 21:3-5 ~~chorus~~ One day I won't cry no more Can't wait for the day when people won't die no more Daddy's won't say, bye no more; lie no more In the streets bullets won't fly no more Won't feel no pain no more Won't have to push, pull, won't have to strain no more Won't have to walk lame no more Won't have to play the game n...

WRAP IT UP

“…The race is not to the swift or the battle to the strong, nor does food come to the wise or wealth to the brilliant or favor to the learned; but time and chance happen to them all.” Ecclesiastes 911 So why is it that we scurry about the entirety of our few minutes here on this earth seeking favor and approval and position? Attempting to meet a long list of obligations and expectations that never seem to be satisfied no matter how much we busy ourselves. Working out, studying hard, eating right, investing wisely, and somehow time and chance happens to us all? Why? That’s a good question. No matter how we have started out this year, regardless of what has happened along the way, despite the turns and falls and outright mistakes. If you have fallen, get back up. Though a righteous man may fall seven times he gets back up. God gives power to the weak; and to them that have no might he increases strength. There is great mercy and forgiveness with God. All His paths are mercy and truth t...

STOP COMPROMISING

A true child of God is done playing games. They take obedience seriously by not taking pleasure in wickedness, but delighting in the truth. They certainly do not see how close to the line of good and evil they can get. Instead they cling to what is good and depart quickly from evil. Developing courage by facing each situation as it arises. Depending on Him who knows all things to reveal truth and give right understanding and direction. No wishy washy lukewarm do what others are doing kind of beliefs are going to hold up in these last days. Stop compromising. Make a decision. CHOOSE YOU THIS DAY WHOM YOU WILL SERVE. If it be the Lord, serve Him. If it be the god of this world, serve it. If it be your own pleasures, well then... please note that one of these days real soon you might have more than a few regrets. God gives grace to the humble and He resist the proud. Did you know it is possible to be a coward and be prideful? I was presented with an opportunity just the other day to face ...
