NOW OR NEVER

WAKE UP! There is not much time left. WAKE UP! It is time to tell the truth and speak the fear of the Lord. WAKE UP! Salvation is nearer now than when we first begun. WAKE UP! Stop making excuses for why you are not obeying. WAKE UP! The truth is not what you make it. WAKE UP! Who is preaching repentence? Who is recognizing their need for a Saviour? Who is waking up to the reality that believing on Jesus Christ is our only hope? All the good we could do is worth rags. Only the blood of Jesus can cleanse us from all unrighteousness and save our souls from eternal torment and darkness. WAKE UP! “Perilous times are coming and you don’t believe it!! I demand glory in this hour!!! My temples will be filled with Glory!!! I will settle for nothing less. Prepare the way of the Lord, make your path straight,” says the Lord!!" My friend Barron Freitas, (missionary in asia and abroad) was preaching in a church in Oklahoma and those were the words that God gave him to speak. Six days later, ...

ZELF

"We who are strong ought to bear with the failings of the weak and not to please ourselves. Each of us should please his neighbor for his good, to build him up. For even Christ did not please himself but, as it is written: The insults of those who insult you have fallen on me." Romans 15:1-3 DO WE PLEASE OURSELVES? The wisdom of the world is always measuring things according to what pleases self. Do we do what we do for others to please ourselves? God says to give without expecting anything in return. The mercy that you show will be the mercy that you receive. Do we do kind deeds to be approved of man? To receive credit or recognition? Or do we do something for someone because we remember that "the kindness of God leads one to repentence". That "whatever a man sows that also shall he reap." And "whatever we do for the least of these we have done it unto Him." This day and age there is a strong pull on the minds of man to do what they do for them...

ASK YOURSELF

www.whatifimpretending.com I think we should ask ourselves some questions right about now. Because WHAT IF we have been pretending and no one has dared to ask us what is really going on in our lives? What if we keep doing what we are doing and just because it has become a routine; it seems well planned out, we fail to see the danger ahead of what we are currently stepping in...and others are following us thinking we know the way. We must examine ourselves daily to make certain that we are in the faith and not pretenders. What is your eternal address? What is your destination? What are you standing on? When your last breath comes and you go...where will you be? Pretenders only pretend for so long, it gets old and eventually what you were avoiding meets you face to face.

EVERY THOUGHT

The beginning of a song came to me as I was driving this morning to see some friends. All of it is praying God's Word in song: Keep my eyes looking straight ahead, taking every thought captive. I pray this for myself and I pray this for the Body of Christ as a whole. 2 Corinthians 10:5 [Inasmuch as we] refute arguments and theories and reasonings and every proud and lofty thing that sets itself up against the [true] knowledge of God; and we lead every thought and purpose away captive into the obedience of Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One). Many of the struggles and difficulties we face from day to day are born out of unchecked thoughts and from wondering eyes. Colossians 3 encourages us to keep our minds on the things above and not on the things of this world. Imagine how much less couples would be entertaining the idea of divorce if they took those thoughts captive. Negative thoughts about one another, accusing thoughts, adultress thoughts, hateful thoughts. In Ephesians 4 we...

NARROW IS THE PATH

Do you find yourself coming apart at the smallest trial? Wanting to give up for all the negative things you see? Sometimes the things we think are problems are not problems at all. The problem is our perception of things. We must not let the pressures of this life keep us from truly living, deeply loving. The love of many will grow cold as the days grow darker and darker. We must watch unto prayer... "Prove all things; hold fast that which is good." I Thess 5:21 There is so much we have that we can give away. Most of us have more than we could possibly use. We spend time talking about things that will make no eternal difference. We argue to make a point when there is no point. We do everything we can to keep schedules and to keep our lives busy making many plans. Sometimes we miss life while we are trying so hard to live it. What can you do about anything? What can you do for anyone? You can commit them to prayer and as you pray trust that God will lead you in the way that y...

DRIVING BACK

I wonder if we ever really realize how deeply the grace of God has covered us and how much His blood has blotted out what we could never correct or erase. "Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear:" Hebrews 12:28 "Be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines. For it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace; not with meats, which have not profited them that have been occupied therein." Hebrews 13:9 Driving back from visiting with friends last night, I was considering how infinetely little we can control or change things. Especially our shortcomings, our mistakes, or where we have messed up. All we can do is fall on the mercy of God, who knows all things, and He alone can work things for the good of those that love Him and are called according to His purpose. If we will cease from taking things into our own hands, wait, listen, and understand...

I Thessalonians 5:14-24

Now we exhort you, brethren, warn them that are unruly, comfort the feebleminded, support the weak, be patient toward all men. See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men. Rejoice evermore. Pray without ceasing. In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you. Quench not the Spirit. Despise not prophesyings. Prove all things; hold fast that which is good. Abstain from all appearance of evil. And the very God of peace sanctify you wholly; and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Faithful is he that calleth you, who also will do it.
