SCREAMING INSIDE

EXCEPT FOR THE GRACE OF GOD we would all continue on in our blindness to the obvious. Thank God for true friends who will challenge us to hold up our lives to the light of God's pure word. Love rebukes and chastens... Reality check. What is it going to take to wake up to the truth? To stop being prentenders, fakes, liars. What good do you think comes from 'acting' like everything is alright, when in truth it is not? Can you call yourself a lover of God, if you do not do what pleases Him? Plastic people wear counterfeit smiles and all the while ignore the very things that need to be dealt with. I caution you to realize you need to be questioning yourself and your motives, because if you do not--- you will cause others to stumble and fall into a ditch. Why would you attend classes and bible studies, hide behind "the ministry," but then inwardly and to those closest to you behave like doctor insano? All the while you are not talking to certain persons (holding someth...

No COVENANT, No CONSUMMATION

No proposal, no answer. No answer, no agreement. No agreement, no covenant. No covenant, no consummation. Not sure where we get the idea that we belong to Jesus if we are not committed to Him. We can talk all we want, but on that day when the Bridegroom comes for His Bride. There will be no changing our minds or ammending our ways. It will be too late. We will either be found waiting, expecting Him, dressed in our wedding clothes. Or we will have rejected His many proposals, given Him no answer, have made no agreements (with Him), and therefore there will be no wedding feast to attend or consummation to celebrate for those who are not IN CHRIST JESUS. Oh the dread and terror of that day! For those who know Him not. For those who thought that He was no Bridegroom, that did not recognize Him as God. Only fear's torment and exceeding pain will accompany those who denied His name. Human hearts will faint and melt with anxiety and tears...the white throne judgement. But Oh the bliss of ...

PURGED

"BY MERCY AND TRUTH INIQUITY IS PURGED: AND BY THE FEAR OF THE LORD MEN DEPART FROM EVIL." Proverbs 16:6 Mercy = Alleviation of distress; relief. Compassionate treatment, especially of those under one's power; clemency. Kindness, forgiveness. Truth = an obvious or accepted fact; truism; platitude. Honesty; integrity; truthfulness. The state or character of being true. Actuality or actual existence. Conformity with fact or reality. Purged = to rid of whatever is impure or undesirable; cleanse; purify. To clear of imputed guilt or ritual uncleanliness. To clear away or wipe out legally by suitable action or atonement. A friend from Alaska wrote me a letter of encouragement and included this small pamphlet by Theodore Monod entitled: Looking Unto Jesus. The last page reads as follows.... "I LOOK NOT BACK --- God knows the fruitless efforts. The wasted hours, the sinning and regrets; I leave them all with Him who blots the record, And graciously forgives, and then forg...

CAN DO

My six year old nephew was reading aloud from Judges 5 earlier. Before he started reading, he asked God to please let us find something in there we can do. The chapter begins with "Then sang Deborah and Barak...Praise ye the Lord for the avenging of Israel, when the people willingly offered themselves." And then goes on to tell of "the Angel of the Lord bitterly cursing the inhabitants of Meroz, because they came not to the help of the Lord, to the help of the Lord against the mighty." The final thought in chapter five: "So let all thine enemies perish, O Lord: but let them that love him be as the sun when he goeth forth in his might." Something we can do is sing praise to GOD. Something we can do is go to GOD for help regardless of the size of the battle, difficulty, or circumstance. We can willingly offer ourselves. We can love HIM and be as the sun that goeth forth in his might.

FEEL GOODERS

Beware of feel gooders and do gooders. . . lest you seek that which is not wisdom and follow after that which is not truth. Remember it was the serpent that tempted the woman to question what God had clearly commanded for their good. Listening to the serpent lead to the curse of all mankind. (Thank God for Jesus who has redeemed us from the curse...) The path is not broad but narrow. Open mindedness could prove to be nothing more than eloquent ignorance. Those who think they can create their own path, or believe that they are wiser than God, or that they can be their own god...will soon find that having some form (which ever suits you best) spirituality is nothing more than a 'feeling.' Call it whatever you want to, but it is not the way to eternal life. "God's word is forever established in heaven..." Psalm 119:89 "There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to death." Psalm 14:12 Many many years ago I attended an Intervarsity Bibl...

ALL OR NOTHING

The word "if" usually indicates choice. God's word is clear in that, He desires all (all thine heart, all thy soul) or nothing. It is our choice to choose life or death, blessing or cursing . When we choose life, choose to cling to God, to give Him all we are...all the things we thought we needed to work up to or earn ---belong to us already. 10If thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which are written in this book of the law, and if thou turn unto the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul. 11For this commandment which I command thee this day, it is not hidden from thee, neither is it far off. 12It is not in heaven, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go up for us to heaven, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it? 13Neither is it beyond the sea, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go over the sea for us, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it? 14But the word is very ni...

SHARE WITH OTHERS

"Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise—the fruit of lips that confess his name. And do not forget to do good and to share with others , for with such sacrifices God is well pleased." Hebrews 13:15-16 Continually offer? Does that mean all the time? Confess his name? How do you confess someone's name? Well, how do you talk about others and happen to mention names while doing so? Exactly. You talk about them. You tell about what you have seen and heard and what you believe to be true. You identify the person you are speaking of by saying his or her name. Some might say they do not want to draw attention to themselves by mentioning God's name. If Christ is truly our life, then why should we have any difficulty expressing what should come naturally? But if we are not sure and we half heartedly live for God and try not to disconnect ourselves from the world, then it's no wonder we shy away from the truth and would rather keep ...
