SAY

I believe you might agree with me that though our culture boast of 'freedom of speech,' there is alot that is not being said that needs to be said. Parents do not share some of their past experiences and mistakes with their children for whatever reason, friends withhold some of their deepest sentiments from some of their closest friends for fear of being rejected or disowned (so what exactly makes them your friend in the first place?), husbands and wives do not share their most meaningful feelings (joys and pains) and miss out on years of one anothers lives (and you wonder why it feels like you are living with a perfect stranger). It's not that you do not have anything in common anymore, it is because you have decided not to talk about it. Not to say much of anything to one another. Somebody needs to ask forgiveness, someone needs to say where it hurts, somebody need to admit they are wrong, someone needs to let someone else know that they are not the only one going through...

WELCOME BACK

I have read more than a few times that there have been studies showing what is contributing to children that are diagnosed with attention deficit disorder. Hours in front of the television causes them to believe life is supposed to be faster than it really is. So their frustrations increase, the only communication they seem to relate to is animation, and because of the fantasy land that they have adopted as a second home when they are not in front of the tv they are talking about what they watched or acting out what they viewed. Some of the FAMILY MATTERS and the lack thereof can be contributed to the fantasy land that adults live in. Where are they receiving most of their instruction and mentorship from? Could it be from the most popular shows?? Wil and Grace, NCIS, CSI, SVU, Survivor, American Idol, Exteme Makeovers, the Reality show or Home Improvement? Why are spouses unable to live up to false expectations? Has the person they married morphed into someone that perceives the realit...

DO YOU BLESS GOD?

Psalm 145 I will extol thee, my God, O king; and I will bless thy name for ever and ever. Every day will I bless thee; and I will praise thy name for ever and ever. Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; and his greatness is unsearchable. One generation shall praise thy works to another, and shall declare thy mighty acts. I will speak of the glorious honour of thy majesty, and of thy wondrous works. And men shall speak of the might of thy terrible acts: and I will declare thy greatness. They shall abundantly utter the memory of thy great goodness, and shall sing of thy righteousness. The LORD is gracious, and full of compassion; slow to anger, and of great mercy. The LORD is good to all: and his tender mercies are over all his works. All thy works shall praise thee, O LORD; and thy saints shall bless thee. They shall speak of the glory of thy kingdom, and talk of thy power; To make known to the sons of men his mighty acts, and the glorious majesty of his kingdom. Thy kingdom is ...

COME HEAR

"WHOSOEVER COMETH TO ME, AND HEARETH MY SAYINGS, AND DOETH THEM, I WILL SHOW YOU TO WHOM HE IS LIKE: HE IS LIKE A MAN WHICH BUILT AN HOUSE, AND DIGGED DEEP, AND LAID THE FOUNDATION ON A ROCK: AND WHEN THE FLOOD AROSE, THE STREAM BEAT VEHEMENTLY UPON THAT HOUSE, AND COULD NOT SHAKE IT: FOR IT WAS FOUNDED UPON A ROCK. BUT HE THAT HEARETH, AND DOETH NOT, IS LIKE A MAN THAT WITHOUT A FOUNDATION BUILT AN HOUSE UPON THE EARTH; AGAINST WHICH THE STREAM DID BEAT VEHEMENTLY, AND IMMEDIATELY IT FELL; AND THE RUIN OF THAT HOUSE WAS GREAT." Luke 6:47-49 Jesus says more than once, "COME." Come unto me. I think that is one of the first things we forget to do. We are unable to do anything else that He says if we do not first COME UNTO HIM. If we will come to Him then we can hear what He is saying. Beyond coming to Him and hearing His words, we must choose to do what He says. Storms are going to come, the river of life is bound to change, the current is going to get stronger, wind...

WISDOM FROM GOD

BUT THE WISDOM THAT IS FROM ABOVE IS FIRST PURE, THEN PEACEABLE, GENTLE, AND EASY TO BE ENTREATED, FULL OF MERCY AND GOOD FRUITS, WITHOUT PARTIALITY, AND WITHOUT HYPOCRISY. AND THE FRUIT OF RIGHTEOUSNESS IS SOWN IN PEACE OF THEM THAT MAKE PEACE. James 3:17,18 Would you like to know a little more than you do? About anything? Yeah, me too. We should ask God. Be slow to speak. I am learning that waiting can sometimes not only be wisdom, but love in action (especially when it comes to dealing with others hearts). I was looking at a huge pile of trash the other day and then a friend came and got the trash to burn it. What a raging fire it was. It left no trace of what it was, but just ashes. The thought came to my mind that this is exactly what we should be doing as The Body of Christ. When accusations come up in our mind of our brothers and sisters in the Lord, we should throw it in the fire and LEAVE NO TRACE. The ashes will cause others to grow, to have hope, and to know that Jesus...

A FRIEND LOVES AT ALL TIMES

"My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you. Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends. You are my friends if you do what I command. I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master's business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you. You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you to go and bear fruit—fruit that will last. Then the Father will give you whatever you ask in my name. This is my command: Love each other. " John 15:12-17 I have yet to read anywhere in God's word where He says that it is an easy thing to love. Love hurts. It is a good kind of hurt. The kind of hurt or pain that purifies and tries the heart for all it is worth. God's kind of love is strong love. It does not give up, it does not walk away, it does not keep record of our faults or disregard us because of our imperfections or brokenness. It e...
