http://www.videoverse.org/displayrecording/530/IvorMyers-EscapeFromTheBlackHole (Please copy and paste this address to your url bar) Just happen to find this little admonishment to the Body of Christ the other day. Felt the need to share it with whoever would dare to hear it. How I pray that we will take the Word of God personally. Proverbs 4 is speaking as a Father to his son...Father is speaking to us, His little ones...LISTEN TO WHAT I AM SAYING. HEAR MY WORDS FOR THEY ARE LIFE TO THOSE THAT FIND THEM AND HEALTH TO ALL YOUR FLESH.
INGREDIENTS ARE IMPORTANT

What do your relationships consists of? Surface conversations or true communication? Quality time or "things to do"? What can you really say you know about the people you call family and friends? Individually or Collectively? What is the motive behind the questions you ask anyway? Ingredients are important. Thankfulness is a good ingredient to life and relationships. No artificial ingredients. Sharing with love makes any recipe so much better than it would have been. Serving something up with no thought can be quite tasteless and bland. We are to do all that we say, do, and think as UNTO THE LORD. Restoration comes when we are simply obedient even in the small things. Love is Obedience to God. Obeying God is loving Him with all we are (by hating what is evil) and loving our neighbor as ourself, and this is the main ingredient of the Christian life. "BUT TO DO GOOD AND TO COMMUNICATE FORGET NOT: FOR WITH SUCH SACRIFICES GOD IS WELL PLEASED." Hebrews 13:16

WARNING: THIS MIGHT MAKE YOU FEEL UNCOMFORTABLE. That's ok. At least you know that you are alive, and have the choice to love the truth and fear God or love the praise of man and accept the diagnosis of the world. James 1:8 Whose report are you going to believe? James 5:14,15 Is any sick among you? let him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: And the prayer of faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. Over the years I have found myself in conversations with people of all ages, who claim to follow the Jesus of the Bible. Yet, it seemed they did not have a clue as to their rights as heirs according to the promises of God. The Blood of Jesus is a foreign subject in many Christian gatherings. Covenant has been replaced with the traditions of man and the philosophies of this age. (Colossians 2:7-8) This might be hard to take for those who...
WHAT'S YOUR EMERGENCY?

Going home the other night I was following behind someone who was bucking and weaving all over the road, bobbing their head, and who swerved over into on-coming traffic repeatedly. At first, I just layed on the horn in hopes of waking them from their evening nap behind the wheel, thinking maybe the person had fallen asleep. It kept happening over and over until I finally called the police to report possible drunk driving. Last week I was at my brother's softball game and heard a couple of gunshots, watched people run and scatter behind where I was sitting. Then there were a few more shots fired. The people around me just talked about what they were hearing and seeing. I went ahead and walked in the direction of the shots that I had heard, to make sure someone had not been shot and left for dead. Brought my phone with me and made the call for back up. It very well could have been something that needed to be investigated. Some of the people running past me trying to get away while he...
PACKING

I just began packing for another trip. I usually empty out the contents of the pack that I carried with me last. To see what I have, what I need to add, what needs to stay, and what needs to go. My hope is to pack only what is necessary for the journey and what will help me to assist others along the way. What is in the bag you are packing? (What's on your mind?) How heavy is the load you carry? Is it necessary or have you picked up a few things here and there, and now you are not sure how you are going to make it? "Cast your cares on the LORD and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous fall." Psalm 55:22 "And at the evening sacrifice I arose up from my heaviness; and having rent my garment and my mantle, I fell upon my knees, and spread out my hands unto the LORD my God..." Ezra 9:5 "Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations: That the trial of your faith, being much mor...
WAITING

Ever get tired of waiting? It is 2am, I am awake and waiting. Giving God thanks for what has been and what will be is a good way to utilize your waiting time. Remembering what He has done, what He has faithfully taken you through, and how much richer you are for the waiting. Keep your eyes on Jesus. Do not be discouraged, wait continually upon Him. You will be glad you waited and so will I. Psalm 27:14 Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD. Psalm 37:7,9,34 Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass. For evildoers shall be cut off: but those that wait upon the LORD, they shall inherit the earth. Wait on the LORD, and keep his way, and he shall exalt thee to inherit the land: when the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see it. Lamentation 3:25-26 The LORD is good unto them that wait for him, to the soul that seeket...
