PACKING

I just began packing for another trip. I usually empty out the contents of the pack that I carried with me last. To see what I have, what I need to add, what needs to stay, and what needs to go. My hope is to pack only what is necessary for the journey and what will help me to assist others along the way.

What is in the bag you are packing? (What's on your mind?) How heavy is the load you carry? Is it necessary or have you picked up a few things here and there, and now you are not sure how you are going to make it?

"Cast your cares on the LORD and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous fall." Psalm 55:22

"And at the evening sacrifice I arose up from my heaviness; and having rent my garment and my mantle, I fell upon my knees, and spread out my hands unto the LORD my God..." Ezra 9:5

"Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations:

That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ..." I Peter 1:6-7

"Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need." Hebrews 4:16

"Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you." I Peter 5:7
