WITHOUT EXCUSE

Could lack of commitment be holding you back? Commitment to who or what you might ask -First and foremost to GOD. If you are not committed to God and to obeying His word, then I will not shy away from asking you... what are you committed to? I have heard a few people say, "Well, I know what I should be doing, but I am just not there yet or I am not ready to go there." Yikes! The choices we make this very moment effect our lives and those around us F O R E V E R. "For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; Because that which may be known of God is manifested in them; for God hath shown it unto them. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse." Romans 1:18-20 "For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared unto...

ADRENALINE IDOLATRY?

This is not an attack on the ballers, thrill seekers, or sports addicts. I, myself, am an explorer that appreciates high energy activities. I consider it a great priviledge to be outside, to be in the sun, to dive into cold water, to run and run and run. At times I have been convicted in my heart of something that might be trying to exalt itself above God in my life. An immediate response and attention is required to obey the voice of my Father. I have learned that anything can become an idol (false god) in your thoughts and life if you let it. Ignoring that little whisper, the question that causes conviction to arise in your mind; can be very dangerous if one decides to keep on going in his or her own way. "There is a way that seems right to a man, but in the end it leads to destruction." Proverbs 14:12 "Dear Children, Keep yourselves from idols." I John 5:21 "...Whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks ...

EARNESTLY CONTEND

"They that forsake the law praise the wicked: but such as keep the law contend with them." Proverbs 28:4 "Contend" is to engage in a fight. To struggle, to strive, to stretch, to not give way to fear. Being unfraid to stand in the face of opposition, upholding the truth, and living by it... is contending for the faith. "Beloved, when I gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation, it was needful for me to write unto you, and exhort you that ye should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered unto the saints." Jude 1:3 EARNESTLY CONTEND. . .constantly. . .no clocking out. No slacking off. . .no short cuts . . .no compromising . . .no watering down the truth. Being earnest is hardcore, non-stop, raw, rugged, sincerely, on purpose, making every effort, to intentionally, zealously, be diligent in living. . . what pleases THE KING. [IT'S TIME TO RISE UP! TIME IS RUNNING OUT!!!! The eyes of the Lord run to and fro upon the eart...

LEAVE A MARK

Wherever Jesus went people knew about it. Entire cities came out to meet him. He left a mark. He healed. He had compassion. He fed the hungry. He forgave the guilty. He raised the dead. His life gave glory and honor to God. If you are following Jesus, if you are loving Jesus, your life will be leaving a mark that speaks of His unfailing love. What is your life speaking to others? When you come in a house it should be better just because you came. If there are dishes to be done, trash to be taken out, laundry to fold, things to be dusted, floors to be cleaned...leave a mark. If someone is heavy hearted or overwhelmed by the time you leave they should be encouraged and uplifted and ready to face whatever comes...just because you spoke life and truth to them. Let your life glorify your heavenly Father. "For our gospel came not unto you in word only, but also in power, and in the Holy Ghost, and in much assurance; as ye know what manner of men we were among you for your sake....

NO SMALL THING

As a child of God, it is not ok to just go on with life and do what feels good. We must seek the Lord and personally know Him. When you know someone you do good to them or for them on purpose. You find out what they like and do not like and grow from there. We have been warned: " They that forsake the Lord shall be consumed..." being consumed is the condition of many I know these days. What is consuming you? "AND THE DESTRUCTION OF THE TRANSGRESSORS AND OF THE SINNERS SHALL BE TOGETHER, AND THEY THAT FORSAKE THE LORD SHALL BE CONSUMED ." Isaiah 1:28 Eternity is no small thing.

WHATCHA TALKING BOUT?

Talk all day long, but talk about this: "AND MY TONGUE SHALL TALK OF YOUR RIGHTEOUSNESS, RIGHTNESS, AND JUSTICE, AND OF YOUR PRAISE ALL THE DAY LONG." Psalm 35:28 "THUS SAYS THE LORD: LET NOT THE WISE AND SKILLFUL PERSON GLORY AND BOAST IN HIS WISDOM AND SKILL; LET NOT THE MIGHTY AND POWERFUL PERSON GLORY AND BOAST IN HIS STRENGTH AND POWER; LET NOT THE PERSON WHO IS RICH GLORY AND BOAST IN HIS RICHES; BUT LET HIM WHO GLORIES GLORY IN THIS: THAT HE UNDERSTANDS AND KNOWS ME , THAT I AM THE LORD , WHO PRACTICES LOVING-KINDNESS, JUDGEMENT, AND RIGHTEOUSNESS IN THE EARTH, FOR IN THESE THINGS I DELIGHT, SAYS THE LORD." Jeremiah 9:23-24

VICTOR NOT VICTIM

"ALL THINGS THAT ARE MINE ARE YOURS, AND ALL THINGS THAT ARE YOURS BELONG TO ME..." John 17:10 "The lions may grow hungry and weak, but those who seek the Lord will lack no good thing . " Psalm 34:10 No where in God's word is there a promise (at least that I have found) that we will not pass through hardship and difficulties. No matter what- the people of God have no reason to panic if their trust is in the Lord. "For thus said the Lord God, the Holy One of Israel: In returning to me and resting in me you shall be saved; in quietness and in trusting confidence shall be your strength. But you would not...the Lord longs to be gracious to you; and therefore He lifts Himself up, that He may have mercy on you and show loving-kindness to you. For the Lord is a God of justice. Blessed are all those who wait for Him, who expect and look and long for Him for His victory, His favor, His love, His peace, His joy, and His matchless, unbroken companionship!" Isa...
