LOVE LIFTS UP
To
All those who call themselves by Jesus’ name:
Thought
I would share an old favorite song from time to time that reminds me of the
answers to most all of life’s difficulties. LOVE LIFTED ME…When nothing else
could help, LOVE LIFTED ME.
God
is the God who speaks. He has spoken. When we wrong our fellow man, we wrong
the Lord. When we speak ill of another we allow our mouths to be used to speak
a curse and not blessing. When we continue on in our ‘own ways,’ we disregard
the Lord’s commands to LOVE ONE ANOTHER even as Christ has loved us.
How
can we obey God’s word if we do not know what He says? Meditate on the Word day
and night. There is a blessing waiting to meet you. Hide God’s word in your heart so that you are
ready to endure, one day at a time.
In
all that you do, do it with all your heart (might) as unto the Lord. Consider
others greater than yourself.
Do
not let your love grow cold. Walls are erected, relationships are distant and
severed because some of you spend too much time thinking about ‘’your ministry,”
“your calling,” “your own well-being,” and not enough time thinking how you
could lighten someone else’s load or relieve them of unnecessary burdens. Do
unto others as you would have done to you. Consider the poor.
Love
forgives. Love sets free. Love allows others to be who and how God has created
them to be. Love does not speak ill of any man. Endeavor to owe no man anything, but a debt of
love. Repay what you have borrowed. Do not take advantage of anyone. If you break something, fix it. If you make a mess, clean it up. Set an example. Be a servant. Go the extra
mile. Withhold no good thing when it is in your power to give it. Love your neighbor.
