ROTTEN OR RIPE
Attitude is a lot of it. Trudge on through the muck without complaining (Phil 2:14) about your circumstances. (I am not saying do not speak of them…just remember that out of the abundance of your heart your mouth will speak. What is in your heart in abundance?) Your worries will not be able to hold any ground. Keep your eyes on Jesus (The Word) and the frustrations will come to nothing.
(Isaiah 26:3) Difficulty will be a welcomed challenge. Believe beyond what you can see and you will run right into the Springs of Living Waters. The Word of God is right perspective. Not only can you drink and be satisfied, but the visual capacity cannot be compared to any other. You can perceive and know, far beneath the surface, deep and wide. Faith will lead you beside still waters. He’ll be there to swim with you and show you around. He’ll teach you how to breathe under water. Out of your element and into His…kick your feet, twirl around, do flips, you can do so much more than you ever dreamed when you let go and just believe (breathe).
So is your fruit rotten or ripe? (Galatians 5:22) What kind of responses are you giving to those closest to you? Is it the kind of treatment you would welcome and look forward to? Then why are you dishing it out? You do not like it when someone else justifies their reasons why they have mistreated you, so then stop making excuses and start taking some action to sow some better seeds. You can attend every bible study you can find, but until you ask for heaven's help to enable you to behave differently you will remain right where you are. Ask, seek, knock. You will be amazed at what you will receive, find, and the door that will be opened unto you.
Wives, I beg you to respect your husband. Please do not speak down to him. Do not be short with him. Please watch your tone. I have heard some of you speak to your husband in such a way that you would not dare speak to anyone else, including your dog. It is verbal abuse. If he spoke to you that way as often as you feel the freedom to let it fly, it would disable and destroy some of you. At any given time your words are either building up and strengthening, or tearing down and destroying. Be mindful of your attitude. Is it really gentle, kind, and reflecting the mind of Christ?
