ALL EYES ON THE KING

Let's keep encouraging and challenging one another to consider the truth and to examine ourselves. Time is short. Eternity is certain. The King's return is soon. Many think themselves to be a Christian, claiming to be a follower of Christ, but they do not acknowledge Him as God or obey His words. They have not truly made Him Lord. If someone is your lord, He is your master. A master's will is sovereign. If you are a servant you cease from doing your own will and you do the will of the one whom you serve. Those who are lord of their own lives continue to rely on their own understanding, the advice of others, and are easily swayed by every wind of doctrine. Some depend on the latest religious books to give them a feeling of godliness, sense of security or well-being. The god that they know is one that they have made up...one that is convenient and imaginary. After all, if we really did believe in a living God existing - He might require truth in our innermost parts. (Psalm 51:6) His ways and thoughts are higher, and He desires that we be willing to come after Him (..choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve...Joshua 24:15).

The Kingdom of God is not a social club, it's not under new management, and it is not what you make it. Denomination is not a word in Jesus' vocabulary. (I Cor 1:13 Is Christ divided?) "Seeker Friendly" is a good way to define a group of basically good people; gathering to plan ways of meeting the current need for entertainment, better described as the spirit of the world disguised with a biblical theme. (I Cor 2:12 ...we have not received the spirit of the world..) The Word of God is not just a good idea, a matter of opinion, or optional depending on your religious preference or background. Church is who you are and not a place you go. Service is laying your life down for others not attending meetings and conferences (contrary to popular belief). Why should we expect to be spiritually fed by someone else, if we are not physically fed by someone else? The way we live our lives should be feeding others continually. It is the Holy Spirit of God that teaches us all things that we need to know. Blessed is the man that makes the Lord his trust... but cursed is the one who trusts in man, who depends on flesh for his strength and whose heart turns away from the LORD. (Jeremiah 17:5)

Our lives are a reflection of what we are living for, what we think about, and what we are consistently giving ourselves to. Saints, BE IMITATORS OF GOD. Be an example in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity. Doing all things without murmuring or complaining. Know those that labor among you. Warn them that are unruly, comfort the feeble-minded, support the weak, be patient towards all men. See that none render evil for evil unto any man; but ever follow that which is good, both among yourselves, and to all men. Give yourself to prayer. Demonstrate excellence in all that you do, doing it with all of your might as unto the Lord. Let this mind be in you that was also in Christ Jesus: humble yourself, be obedient even unto death, look not on your own needs, but attentively generously seek to meet the needs of those around you (bless those who curse you and who despitefully use you). Love your enemies. Have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather reprove them. Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. Keep yourselves from idols. Keep yourselves in the love of God (Jude 1:21).

May we curse our own wisdom and everything we build for ourselves crumble and fall. May we be known as Jesus said, "by our Love". May all that we do, say, or think be by faith. May we keep nothing for ourselves, but dispence all at the King's command. May we never make decisions or have conversations that prove to be idle or dependent upon our own understanding. May we be still and wait on the Lord, putting our hope fully in Him. May no other name be exalted in our hearts, minds, or on our lips than Jesus Christ. May we never seek or desire the approval of man, or any rewards this earth has to offer. May we see ourselves and others through our Father's eyes. God help us to serve, to pour out our lives for the love of our King, in continual praise until He comes. FATHER MAY YOUR KINGDOM COME, all eyes be upon You, and let every moment be the evidence that our complete reliance is on You alone Lord.
