THE BEGINNING OF WISDOM

The FEAR of GOD is the beginning of wisdom. (Psalm 111:10)

Could loving God be to fear God? Jesus said, "If you love me you will keep my commands." In Ecclesiastes 8:12-13 "...yet surely I know that it shall be well with them that Fear God, which fear before him: But it shall not be well with the wicked, neither shall he prolong his days, which are as a shadow; because he Feareth not before God." "Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: FEAR GOD, and KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS: for this is the whole duty of man." Ecclesiastes 12:13

Godly Fear is obedience that honors the one in command. Complete trust is full reliance upon love. It seems as though we may not realize in this busy world of non-stop, endless lists of things to do...we are forgetting to obey His Word. We have forgotten the beginning, the basics, the foundation, the very reason we are alive. To give glory to God.

What gives God glory? Ask any parent who takes great delight in showing off their kids. What glory it is to speak their names and give them instruction, because they will respond with the joy of love. Their hearts have trusted fully in the one who directs their lives by their Word. The parents word not only instructs them, corrects them, disciplines them, but encourages and affirms their entire existence. How much more is God's Word to us?

If we love God, we will do what He says. He says to keep His commands...
Love God (With all that we are)
Love His people (sincerely, deeply)
Doing all with excellence...as unto The KING.

If you think about someone a lot, you run the risk of being labeled "obsessed." Rightfully so- all you ever talk about, all you ever want, all you build your life upon, all you hope for, all that is reality to you is what you think about. Think on JESUS name. Think on His Word.

"God...HATH IN THESE LAST DAYS SPOKEN UNTO US BY HIS SON, WHO HE HATH APPOINTED HEIR OF ALL THINGS, BY WHOM ALSO HE MADE THE WORLDS; Who being the brightness of his glory, and the express image of his person, and UPHOLDING ALL THINGS BY THE WORD OF HIS POWER, when he by himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high; Hebrews 1:1-3

Revelation 14:7
Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.

Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the Lord, and depart from evil. Proverbs 3:7

Then they that fear the Lord spake often one to another: and the Lord hearkened, and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before him for them that fear the Lord, and that thought upon his name. Malachi 3:16
