PITFALL

"Labour not to be rich: cease from thine own wisdom." Proverbs 23:4 This is the exact opposite of what we learn from our society today. Most people in this country and beyond have been raised with a mindset that makes financial gain their top priority. Most people labouring to be rich or to "get ahead", are only tired and exhausted from wearing themselves out with all they were never meant to carry any way.

God helps those who help themselves...is our own wisdom. Follow your heart...is our own wisdom. You can be whatever you want to be if you just set your mind to it and get an education...this is our own wisdom. Social security...our own wisdom. Our own wisdom is anything but secure.

Pitfall is just a letter or two away from pitiful. Could we be a few inches from a pitfall or maybe we are already in a pit, when we do not realize that our source for life and everything good comes from above. How sad it is when we are too busy to rest against His heart and receive His love, his words, his hope, his prospective. How desperately we need to let go of all we are holding onto and receive His righteous judgements and perfect counsel.

Alot of the things we are trying to figure out will figure themselves out when we seek the Lord and do what love would do. Honestly, it is our human minds that complicate things. Love trust. Love knows what it takes, what it needs, what it requires, and has already anticipated potential possibilities of meeting needs and future desires.

Are you lacking something? Pray. Ask, seek, knock. Wait. The answer will soon come. Meanwhile, start looking for opportunities to give what you have and supply what others are lacking.

Bride of Christ be aware and alert, ever watchful, remaining & abiding in Him. Open your ears, hear what the Spirit is saying to you. Do not entertain thoughts of accusations towards one another. Speak evil of no man. Realize who you are and the words of reconciliation that you have been entrusted with. (II Corinthians 5:17) Be reconciled one to another. Be reconciled to God. Reconcile all men unto God. Endeavor to keep the bond of peace. Forgive one another as God has forgiven you. Remember that He does not treat you as your sins deserve. That grace is not a excuse to keep on sinning, but merciful compassion that makes way for true repentance. HINDSIGHT 2020

I can see clearly now the rain is gone...and HELLO FROM THE OTHER SIDE ... I am slowly but surely getting there. I have not been in any position to write updates like I would have liked too. That's ok. I am embracing some new normals and thanking God for every drop of mercy and grace and going forward that is happening. HAPPY NEW YEAR ALL!
