YOU KNOW WHAT

My dad passed away 11 years ago. He was an infantry sergeant in the USMC. He served in the vietnam war. Forty years ago he became a vietnam disabled veteran. Just yesterday my mom received a package in the mail from USMC, they finally got around to sending my dad his metals. Evidently paperwork was misplaced sometime between battle, surgery, or his date of discharge.

I know at least a few folks that are seeking earthly recognition, working themselves to the bone for what? Exerting energy on wordly achievements, temporary titles and positions that cannot and will not satisfy. It is good to work diligently, as unto the King. Quite a few people aiming for and working towards retirement. Nothing wrong with that I suppose. As the system decays, some of the stuff people build their dreams on turns to maggots and rust right before their eyes.

"They will not be ashamed or disappointed those who put their hope in HIm." Romans 9:33

Fumbling is human nature, downright sad, and disappointing most of the time since we left the Garden of Eden. This is no time to trust yourself. The Bible clearly states, "He that trust in his own heart is a fool: but whoso walketh wisely, he shall be delivered." Proverbs 28:26 It is not a good time to trust the economy, your employer, your franklin day planner, or anything else for that matter. If you do trust in anything temporary, then chances are your circumstances are most likely going to smell like you stepped in 'you know what.'

Confusion is born of compromise. The truth is quite plain and simple. We need help that is going to come from the source. The source that is bigger and wiser than us. He understands it all. So He is who we need to be seeking and where we need to be putting our trust, our confidence, our all.
