TO BE OR NOT TO BE THAT'S NOT EVEN THE QUESTION
How do you know? When will you know? What do you think you know? "God speaks one way and yet another though man may not perceive it." (Through Rick & Bubba or Job 33:14)
There are 'Words of Knowledge' and there is self deception. There is gathering to you what your itching ears want to hear, and then there is true discernment that comes through the Holy Spirit. Just because someone says they have the Holy Spirit does not mean they actually do. Test every spirit.
More frequently than we realize we interact with angels of light (and I don't mean the good kind.) Peeps in the body of Christ strongly convinced, fully believing, that they have heard from the Lord on a certain issue or matter that they were seeking confirmation on. Along with visions, dreams, and confirmations, they have received other "words" from random individuals that confirm the 'words' they previously received.
It is downright scary when their "words" include others into their vision, dream, delusion, or imaginery world. If something is written before time, I think you are safe leaving it alone. Letting it be. Getting a grip on reality and facing things as they are. It is not healthy, faith, or reality to always expect that if things do not turn out the way you believe it to be "GOD," then something must be wrong. What's wrong is your perspective. You are not God, your ways are not His ways.
Reality check: A man of God or woman of God is human, can be fully convinced, and can still be wrong. The first step to healing is admitting it. Self centeredness, obsessing about the fulfillment of your own desires is not selfless by any means. Besides wasting time, it has absolutely nothing to do with living a godly life. Call it whatever you want.
"SEEK FIRST THE KINGDOM OF GOD and ALL THESE THINGS SHALL BE ADDED UNTO YOU." If the Lord is your first desire and is truly your delight then you can know that He is faithful to keep His promises toward you. "A man makes his plans, but the Lord determines his steps." "He who puts His trust and hope in God will not be disappointed or put to shame." In the Lord, not in what he can, will, might do for you. Not in the object of your affections or the possibility of circumstances working out in your favor, but in God alone.
According to Psalm 139 God perceives your thoughts from afar, He is familiar with all your ways. Yes, life is endless choices and decisions that we have to make. Love is equal parts joy and pain. News flash: Self inflicted wounds may not fall under the category of suffering for Jesus or love bearing all things. If you are smelling what I'm stepping in? Don't say amen, just do your best to avoid foolish situations that cater to your ego and pride and reasons why. To be or not to be is not even the question.
