PRAYING PEOPLE PRAY

Pray first, pray during, pray after. Praying people pray. Prayer should be more than just a thought. It is a personal discipline. It is the result of willing obedience. It is appropriate for any and all occassions.

"And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints."
Ephesians 6:18

Prayers of faith are effective people! When I pulled in the parking lot tonight realized two people in their large sports utility vehicle. Their car would not start. They had not figured out how to open the hood, much less diagnose the situation. I pondered the possibilities. Got out of my truck, asked some questions, opened the hood and gazed in. I pulled out my climbing light, grabbed a wrench and a pair of pliers. Beat some of the corrosion off of the battery. Asked them to try to start it. nada. I requested for them to please apply the parking brake as I proceeded to crawl under their vehicle. One of them got down on the ground to ask me what was I looking for. (that's a good question I thought to myself) I prayed outloud for the God who knows all things to show me what my hands need to touch to start the vehicle at once in Jesus name. Asked them to try it again. Praise God it started! They are living witnesses to the power of Jesus' name. God answers prayer on the spot. Nevermind that I don't know anything about car mechanics. I know the One True Living God who knows all things.

C'mon Saints --- when we read the Word of God it should penetrate our understanding. It should affect every area of our lives. What about the three loaves and two fishes feeding a multitude? Does that not plainly tell us that God will use whatever little we have to do great things? The words of our mouth, the prayers of our hearts can show a world how GREAT IS OUR GOD. Big enough to answer what we think is insignificant requests.
