GOT A PROBLEM?
Do you have a problem? Bring it to the light of God's Word. Name your problem and I tell you, The Word of God has your answer! Go ahead. Try it. Let's deal with this head on. Do not keep putting it off. Put the self-help books down and realize they have never really fixed the problem, and that's why you are forever seeking another book and another and another. Quit trying to escape, have you noticed it is a never-ending cycle? It just keeps happening again and again. So you try something else in hopes that this is it. That this will do the trick. Nope. Same ole same ole story everytime.
Get some real help. Go to the source. Stop depending on man and put your hope in God. Open your mouth and ask God for what it is that you want. You are not doing yourself any favors by thinking about praying and then second guessing yourself wondering whether or not you should talk to God. Then have your moment of silence, but let it be to listen for His response.
Proverbs 19:27
"Cease, my son, to hear the instruction that causeth to err from the words of knowledge."
Proverbs 2:1-6
"My son, if thou wilt receive my words, and hide my commandments with thee; So that thou incline thine ear unto wisdom, and apply thine heart to understanding; Yea, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up thy voice for understanding; If thou seekest her as silver, and searchest for her as for hid treasures; Then shalt thou understand the fear of the LORD, and find the knowledge of God. For the LORD giveth wisdom: out of his mouth cometh knowledge and understanding."
I was reading in the book of Daniel today around chapter 8-9 and the one thought that really stuck in my mind was this... the people who called on the name of the Lord were helped. The people and the families who called not on the name of the Lord were quickly destroyed. The journey can seem overwhelming at times. Let's not try to go it alone. Let's call out and listen for the answer.
