GROW UP BABY, GROW UP!
Excluding people for whatever reason, gossiping or participating in gossip, whispering, mistrusting, being high-minded (wise in your own eyes), sharing things that are none of your business to share with others (with others that call themselves Children of God). Grow up Baby! Renew your mind. Be transformed by the Word of God. REPENT! Be reconciled one to another. Stop making provisions for the flesh. "Speak not evil one of another, brethren..."(James 4:11)
"The eye cannot say to the hand, "I don't need you!" And the head cannot say to the feet, "I don't need you!" on the contrary, those parts of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable, and the parts that we think are less honorable we treat with special honor." I Corinthians 12:21-23
"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men's sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation." II Corinthians 5:17-19
Spiritual talk cannot cover up what you know and are doing NOTHING about. Do you know anyone that is withholding good from another when it is in their power to give it? Do you know anyone who is not reconciled to someone else? Are you counting men's sins against them when God has reconciled them to himself? Stop making excuses and obey God's word. Represent. The ministry of reconciliation has been committed to you if you are a Child of the King. Start Reconciling!!!
Or do you spend time trying to fix people? Evaluating where and how you think other people should change? HYPOCRITE! Get a mirror and take a look. Get on your knees and pray fervently for God to have mercy on your soul. You are wasting time that you should be praying for others and doing everything within your power to be a true disciple of Jesus Christ, but instead you have been keeping secret records of other people's faults. No amount of self righteousness, fasting, or good works can obtain what is only a free gift (that no man should boast).
So if you have been having a little "dry spell" or feel some distance between you and God, lack of true intimacy...you might want to do FIRST things FIRST:
"Therefore, if you are offering your gift at the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you, leave your gift there in front of the altar. First go and be reconciled to your brother; then come and offer your gift." Matthew 5:23-25
The word of GOd teaches us how to grow up into love, to love each other deeply from the heart. Forgive forgive forgive (how many times?) seventy times seven. Be reconciled to God and to each other.
