STAGGER NOT

Abraham, "Who against hope believed in hope, that he might become the father of many nations, according to that which was spoken, So shall thy seed be. And being not weak in faith, he considered not his own body now dead, when he was about an hundred years old, neither yet the deadness of Sarah's womb: He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief; but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised, he was able also to perform."
Romans 4:18-21

Continually thinking upon God's perfect word and living it out will keep you from staggering (doubting and unbelief) at the promises of God. Are you fully persuaded that what God has said, He will do? I wonder how many of us think more upon what God has said than what our eyes see and what our hearts feel? Feelings can be helpful, but we must not let them pursuade us more than the truth of God's word. We would do well to take note of Abraham's example since he was considered "a friend of God"... and stagger not at the promises of God, but hope against hope, be strong in faith, giving glory to God, being fully pursuaded that what God has promised, He will also perform.
