EVERYTHING ELSE IS SAND
1 Timothy 4:7
"Have nothing to do with godless myths and old wives' tales; rather, train yourself to be godly." Do not build your life on anything else but the Word of God, because everything else is sand.
What the hell are you doing? Fortune telling, signs, & lucky stars...you say that's all they are. Bologna. If you are depending on those 'readings' to tell you what your next lucky move will be...it is the Lord of your life. It owns you. There is a reason why we are told to HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH it. The longer you dabble in that seemingly harmless but exceedingly addictive little activity, the more and more it weaves itself into every area of your life. Renounce it, burn it, get rid of it, repent for giving the enemy a place in your life. Godless means without God. According to Galatians 5 those who live like this (idolatry and witchcraft) will not inherit the Kingdom of God.
"The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God." Galatians 5:19-21
"If a man or woman living among you in one of the towns the LORD gives you is found doing evil in the eyes of the LORD your God in violation of his covenant, and contrary to my command has worshiped other gods, bowing down to them or to the sun or the moon or the stars of the sky, and this has been brought to your attention, then you must investigate it thoroughly..." Deuteronomy 17:2-4
"When you enter the land the LORD your God is giving you, do not learn to imitate the detestable ways of the nations there. Let no one be found among you who sacrifices his son or daughter in the fire, who practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens engages in witchcraft, or casts spells, or who is a medium or spiritist or who consults the dead." Deuteronomy 18:9-10
OMEN
1. Sign used by diviners to predict the future. The Israelites were prohibited from interpreting omens (Deuteronomy 18:10 NAS, NIV). Pagan prophesy employed reading of omens (Numbers 24:1 NAS, RSV; Ezekiel 21:21 NIV). As Lord of history, God frustrates the plans of “liars” who interpret omens (Isaiah 44:25 NAS, RSV).
