LOVE THE FAITH TO WHICH WE BELONG
I speak life over you in Jesus name. His mighty strength and undying love surround you and sanctify you by His perfect word. May you rest in His embrace and be comforted by the Holy Spirit who knows all things and will counsel your hearts, even in the night seasons. He is closer than close to you and working where you cannot see. But you will see new life. Your seed of faith, your prayers, your full dependence upon the One who can save and deliver... all glory and power unto Him who is worthy of honor and all that we can lay at His feet. He wants us just like we are...crying, broken, and falling apart. To come to Him and learn of Him. His yoke is easy, His burden it is light. May you fall into Him over and over again and be filled by His love that is stronger than death.
May all you say and do glorify the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus CHrist. That there will be no reason or cause for putting a stumbling block in anyone's way from going forward, forgetting what is behind, and pressing into the true character and heart of God...the high calling in CHrist Jesus.
His mercy triumphs over judgement...His kindness leads us to repentance...He is kind to the unthankful. He is forgiving and merciful. His gentleness makes us great. He casts our sins as far as the east is from the west..He remembers them no more. He is Gracious and Compassionate. Slow to anger and rich in love. He is the Husband that sanctifies and cleanses His Church (His Bride) with the washing of water by the word. (He does not remind her of her faults or shortcomings or the places that she has fallen short...insteady He calls her HIS BELOVED. His love is stronger than death, so He wants her just as she is to come to Him. He wants her to taste and see that HE IS GOOD and HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS makes her holy and HIS MERCY ENDURETH FOREVER!) That HE might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish. (Eph 5:25,26) Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness, humbleness of mind, meekness, longsuffering; Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another...And above all these things put on charity, which is the bond of perfectness. The bond of perfectness is the more excellent way...patient...and kind. It keeps no record of wrongs. It hope all things, believe all things. Love never fails.
Never fails...does not give up...continues to hope in His mercy - knowing that it is grace that has saved them, and can only fall upon His mercy, with a sincere heart of gratitude seeking to love God with all (as He teaches us by His Holy Spirit how to be excellent) by putting off the old and putting on the new which is being conformed to the image of Christ. And let the peace of God rule in our hearts (Colossians 3:12-17)...one body...being thankful...letting the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord. And whatsoever you do in word or in deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him.
Loving God and loving our neighbor... all the law and the prophets hang on these two. Freely we have received the grace by which we have been saved through faith, IT IS THE GIFT OF GOD. This is the GOODNEWS of the GOSPEL ---- For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision avails anything, but faith working through love. (Galatians 5:6-14) (Romans 8:24-39 9:30-33 10:8-13) Without taking away any responsibility of my personal obedience and covenant with God...it sure takes a yoke off of my shoulders knowing that it is not by anything that I do or do not do, but by His grace alone am I saved through faith. Grace is no longer grace if it is measured by works. (Unmerited favor) If we begin in the Spirit let us not return again to bondage and try to finish in the flesh. (Phil 3:9) By believing on the ONe He sent (Jesus Christ the propritiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. I John 2:2) God gets all the glory He deserves and I get to be His Daughter that has the high praises of God in my mouth...singing GREAT IS THY FAITHFULNESS O GOD MY FATHER. Praise the Lord for His marvelous works towards the sons of men! I can continue to give freely what I receive of Him...all goodness...forgiveness...mercy ... of HIM who is my strength and song and is now my victory.
HE is my eternal hope, my righteousness, my example of Love. I will encourage all to be a student of His Word...as faith comes by hearing..and HEARING BY THE WORD OF GOD. Not by what anyone else says, not by formulas or anything I can come up with that looks holy or seems holy, but by acknowledging that He is ALL in ALL.
THINK ON THESE THINGS whatsoever are true, whatsoever things are honest, just, pure, lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise...think on these things. (phil 4:8)
It is impossible to please God without faith. Faith without works is dead. Faith is believing that God is who He says HE is and He has already accomplished all that HE said He would...the new covenant. Believing God and receiving His love (His kindness that leads us to repentance) is receiving the implanted word of God that is able to keep us from falling (Jude 24-27 To the only God who is able to keep us from falling, be all glory and honor, majesty and power for all ages, now and forevermore) (Gal 3:6-11,23) Too much emphasis on works can lead people astray, (can foster a prideful religious spirit or at the very least self righteousness) can lay a burden or a yoke on others that God does not intend. (If the Holy Spirit is convicting our hearts of one thing or another, it is not right judgement to believe others should be living according to the conviction the Lord has placed upon us. Each one is given a different measure of faith.) It is good to spur one another on to good works. To do good and get a way from evil. It is edifying to live the message just as much as we speak it. The action that I see of utmost importance in God's eyes is LOVE. The Word of God is clear to me that HIS BLOOD covers, (I John 1:7 2:12) HIS LOVE covers all my iniquities and He has blotted them out. Love covers a multitude of sins...mine were many. But He is a jealous Husband so He continues to find ways to love me back to Himself and cause me to want Him...to want to be with Him...to want to choose the way of life...true life is in His Son. And the way He does it is by showing me Grace. His love is so great it makes me want to be like Him...want to do what He is doing...love like He loves and forgive like He forgives. His yoke is easy and His burden it is light. He's carrying the load. That's what love does. It shares one another's burdens and in that fufills the law of CHrist. (Galatians 6:2)
May we all grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. TO him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.
