MARRIAGES UNDER ATTACK!!!
SPECIAL ALERT FOR ALL OF THOSE WHO ARE MARRIED, in covenant relationships: YOU ARE UNDER ATTACK! Missiles(fiery darts) have been fired (from the liar), and all of you MUST be wearing your helmets of salvation at all times! Keep the Word of God ever before your eyes. Do not be deceived into thinking that there is nothing wrong with entertaining thoughts of divorce. Covenant is covenant. In God's eyes there is no time to quit or give up! You do not need to seek man's council to explore your options. As a Child of the Living God your only option is to please God, obey His Word, and endure all things.
Remember your vows...to lay your lives down for one another. If you are having troubles, difficulties communicating, feeling an unwillingness in yielding yourself or allowing yourself to be known or to trust...you need to recognize the source of this contention and resist the real enemy at once! Do good anyway. Take time to communicate, to give thanks, to express concerns, to deal with the real issues, to examine yourself in light of God's word. By all means possible, DO NOT LET THE SUN GO DOWN on your wrath, or give sleep to your eyes until there is reconciliation between you two! It is an absolute necessity that you walk in agreement and give no place to the devil.
Tonight I went for a run. I normally walk and run for a while, but tonight I felt like something on the inside of me (my spirit) was saying, "Just keep on going, do not stop." I was running for the Body of Christ. I was running for quite a while. Running for those who might not be able to see past their immediate circumstaces. Running for those who have forgotten that the race is not over until the very end and we are only here for a little while. Running for those who feel like collapsing or giving in, who forget that each hour you can choose to begin again and start anew. Running for those who are unable to make a clear decision for all the confusing things they feel and the hurt that they have endured.
As I ran, and my body wanted to stop, I heard, "RELAX and KEEP MOVING FORWARD." I cannot help but think this could apply to relationships. There is really no way you can positively move forward when there is tension and a lack of determination to do what you originally set out to do...give up our rights, our body, our indepent freedom, so that two may become one.
