ARE YOU READY?

ARE YOU READY for anything? It is not good to continue to make excuses for yourself as to why you are putting off what you know you need to do or say. Why are you measuring life according to what makes you happy? Do not keep telling yourself once things change you will be happy. You will be happy when you decide to be thankful no matter what. Do you realize that what you do today is preparing you for tomorrow? Most people do not keep that thought in mind. It is inconvenient to think that this very moment matters so much. If you did value the present you might act differently. Why do we treat time like it is something we have too much of and need to get rid of it? Instead of waiting for tradgedy to strike or some national disaster to hit nearby, or new years eve to come around...to make some evaluations and come to grips with what is going on inside your heart. Why not do that daily? Why not search the Word of God and ask God to reveal to you what needs to change in you so that you will...

WHERE DO OUR PERSUASIONS COME FROM?

Who do you think brings the persuasions that produce the opposite of love, joy, peace, patience, and self control? What about strifes, confusions, envyings, jealousies, anger? Could be worth looking into. Afterall, it sure takes up alot of our time eh? "But if ye have bitter envying and strife in your hearts, glory not, and lie not against the truth. This wisdom descendeth not from above, but is earthly, sensual, devilish. For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work. But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace." James 3:14-18 Today while eating a butter sandwich I was reading an email response from one of my friends. I had mentioned to my friends that when I was around my family, at times I felt like a mirror is in front of me showing me where I am no...

STOP BEGGIN

"I have been young, and now am old; yet have I not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his seed begging bread." Psalm 37:25 Children of God should live by every word that comes from the mouth of God, and not cater to the flesh and chase after money or the things of this world. God knows what we have need of. He is faithful to provide. "And my God will meet all your needs according to his glorious riches in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:19 God will meet, God will supply ALL your needs. According to His glorious riches, not according to what you can come up with in bake sales, car washes, support letters etc., We need to quit buying into the lies and stop looking at the world and watching religious programming...that programs into people's minds that we are to use the word of God as a means for personal gain. Do not do what they are doing. We are not of this world...so let's stop acting like it!

GROW UP BABY, GROW UP!

Excluding people for whatever reason, gossiping or participating in gossip, whispering, mistrusting, being high-minded (wise in your own eyes), sharing things that are none of your business to share with others (with others that call themselves Children of God). Grow up Baby! Renew your mind. Be transformed by the Word of God. REPENT! Be reconciled one to another. Stop making provisions for the flesh. "Speak not evil one of another, brethren..."(James 4:11) "The eye cannot say to the hand, "I don't need you!" And the head cannot say to the feet, "I don't need you!" on the contrary, those parts of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable, and the parts that we think are less honorable we treat with special honor." I Corinthians 12:21-23 "Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of rec...

MAKE YOUR REQUEST KNOWN UNTO GOD

I find this song expresses the sighs and yearnings of the Bride of Christ. This is our prayer, our heart's deep desire, tears and petitions of a repentant heart to the Lord for all that we have gotten too busy to realize. Jesus is the Faithful and True, humble, servant of all, who came to lay His life down. God please help us to stop making it our goal in life to "be comfortable," instead let our aim and priority be to glorify Your name in this earth. Give us You Jesus, and we will have what we need to do Your will. Amen. "GIVE ME YOUR EYES SO I CAN SEE EVERYTHING THAT I KEEP MISSING GIVE ME YOUR LOVE FOR HUMANITY GIVE ME YOUR ARMS FOR THE BROKEN HEARTED ONES THAT ARE FAR BEYOND MY REACH GIVE ME YOUR HEART FOR THE ONES FORGOTTEN GIVE ME YOUR EYES THAT I CAN SEE..." song by Brandon Heath

FOLLOW THE LEADER

If I then, your Lord and Master, have washed your feet; ye also ought to wash one another's feet. For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you. Verily, verily, I say unto you, The servant is not greater than his lord; neither he that is sent greater than he that sent him. If ye know these things, happy are ye if ye do them. John 13:14-17 Want to be happy? Wash someone's feet. Whata ya know? Happiness is following Jesus' example. Knowing the truth and doing it. Alot goes into foot washing, likewise, when you stoop down and clean the dirt off someone's feet humility comes when you are willing to do what you would like done unto you. Maybe it's not a secret, but it is overlooked and ignored that those who realize this is truth and they take hold of it might consider themselves to be rich for the joy that comes in obeying the Word of God. I know I have attended a few weddings over the years where there is symbolism used of washing each other...

THINK ABOUT IT

"To Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen." Ephesians 3:20-21 From time to time I have been challenged to think about what I have been thinking about. Thoughts are powerful and impact our lives more than we probably realize. Whatever we are thinking about influences our feelings, and our feelings to some degree effect our decision making on what we say and do. Think about it. One of my dearest friends once encouraged me to not allow idle/idol thinking. Thinking about what it is not time to think about. It is a waste of time and it actually makes room for doubt and unbelief. It is not faith and it is not pleasing to God. According to this next scripture WE HAVE DIVINE POWER TO TAKE CAPTIVE EVERY THOUGHT and make it obedient to the Word of God. II Corinthians 10:4-6 "The weapons we fight with are not the w...
