ALL OR NOTHING

The word "if" usually indicates choice. God's word is clear in that, He desires all (all thine heart, all thy soul) or nothing. It is our choice to choose life or death, blessing or cursing . When we choose life, choose to cling to God, to give Him all we are...all the things we thought we needed to work up to or earn ---belong to us already. 10If thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to keep his commandments and his statutes which are written in this book of the law, and if thou turn unto the LORD thy God with all thine heart, and with all thy soul. 11For this commandment which I command thee this day, it is not hidden from thee, neither is it far off. 12It is not in heaven, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go up for us to heaven, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it? 13Neither is it beyond the sea, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go over the sea for us, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it? 14But the word is very ni...

SHARE WITH OTHERS

"Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise—the fruit of lips that confess his name. And do not forget to do good and to share with others , for with such sacrifices God is well pleased." Hebrews 13:15-16 Continually offer? Does that mean all the time? Confess his name? How do you confess someone's name? Well, how do you talk about others and happen to mention names while doing so? Exactly. You talk about them. You tell about what you have seen and heard and what you believe to be true. You identify the person you are speaking of by saying his or her name. Some might say they do not want to draw attention to themselves by mentioning God's name. If Christ is truly our life, then why should we have any difficulty expressing what should come naturally? But if we are not sure and we half heartedly live for God and try not to disconnect ourselves from the world, then it's no wonder we shy away from the truth and would rather keep ...

BRING IT ON!!

BRING ON THE PAIN. BRING ON THE SUFFERING. BRING IT ON! TASTE THE TRUTH and RELY ON THE STRENGTH THAT IS BIGGER THAN YOU. We were made to weather alot more than we realize. If we would dare to feel what we feel and just be real, and quit working over-time trying to relieve ourselves from daily pain or discomfort. Stop making it our goal to create such comfortable lives, discontinue our self-diagnosis, and worldly prescriptions that serve to numb us from reality. Pain and suffering are part of the journey on this path to life. Let's take God's word for it. (I Peter 3:14-17, 4:12-19 Romans 8:17-18 Hebrews 11:25-34) My Friend and I were reflecting upon the highly medicated society we live in. We both agreed that if we never went outside, we too might be tempted to resort to taking medication. Does it seem that the longer you are inside the less of a desire you have to live and move, while the need for entertainment grows stronger and stronger? (Indoors is the world that a person c...

EN COURAGE CAMP

WELCOME TO CAMP! Staff meetings, early mornings, late nights, routines, activities, and mountains of expectations. We have a lot to look forward to as the weeks unfold. May God prepare each one of our minds to take action and to be His humble servants. May our participation at this Camp exemplify such godly character and what it means for brothers and sisters to dwell in unity together; that all who come and go from here will have a growing desire of their own to glorify God. Please Lord, let all we say and do leave a lasting impression of what it means to really love You. Shine through us Your Word and Power! Memories from camp last summer are continual reminders to me of how important it is to communicate with God and with people. What better way to Praise Jesus' name than by making every effort to speak of what He has done? What hope do we have worth sharing? As we make it a priority to spend time with God and keep Him first in our thoughts, and do what is pleasing in His sight....

LOOK UNTO JESUS

"Look unto Jesus" and no where else, to no one else. "Looking unto Jesus the author and the finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God. For consider him that endured such contradiction of sinners against himself, lest ye be wearied and faint in your minds. Ye have not yet resisted unto blood, striving against sin. AND YE HAVE FORGOTTEN THE EXHORTATION WHICH SPEAKETH UNTO YOU AS UNTO CHILDREN, MY SON, DESPISE THOU NOT THE CHASTENING OF THE LORD, NOR FAINT WHEN THOU ART REBUKED OF HIM: For whom the Lord loveth he chasteneth, and scourgeth every son whom he receiveth." Hebrews 12:2-6

FAMILY PLANNING?

REPENT REPENT REPENT (Have a change of mind, realize that you have been depending on your own understanding, that you have adopted the ways of this world, you have made decisions based on something other than the truth of God's word.) "Family Planning" religious word for birth control. God has said to be fruitful and multiply. HE is the one who opens and closes the womb. Look at this verse below and please note that arrows are in a quiver for a time...until they are used to route the enemy...to aim at the target. There is that word contend again..."contend with their enemies..." "Blessed is the man whose quiver is full of them. They will not be put to shame when they contend with their enemies in the gate." Psalm 127:5 It is hard to tell the difference any more between the church and the world. All the beliefs and lifestyles intertwine. Why are we making decisions based off of what works better for our lifestyles rather than the fear of the Lord? Are w...

PURE or VAIN RELIGION

"If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain (worthless). Pure religion and undefiled before God the Father is this: to visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction and need, and to keep oneself unspotted (uncontaminated) from the world." James 1:26,27 What are you living for? JESUS? or a moment or an experience? Do you really know Him? Or do you attend gatherings where people say they know him? Do you go to Bible studies, church services, mission conferences, but then in your personal life you just do whatever and figure that you do enough stuff having to do with God and He's probably alright with it? If you are married ---- do you think "going through the motions" is sufficient? Or would you prefer true love? Did you make a promise or were you just kidding? WHAT DO YOU THINK YOUR LIFE IS SAYING TO OTHERS? Are you living for yourself? What actions are you taking to k...
