YOU ARE WORTH SO MUCH
If you are young and have been introduced to the idea of dating, I am writing this for you. Maybe your parents have expressed their concerns and shared their thoughts in regards to this subject or maybe they seem too busy to have a conversation about anything right now. Maybe you don't care what they think or say. Maybe you are just thinking about having fun, and have not really contemplated what happens when fun is no longer what is going on. If your conscious bothers you when you read this...keep reading.
I realize most of what influences your life is the world around you. If you watch TV then the programs you watch are what you live out whether you realize it or not. It grately influences your thoughts and behaviour. The television portrays dramatic situations that by no means have a grasp on reality. Everything is about what you wear, who you are with, and what you can get. It plays on your emotions, feeding your lust for more, and obviously the whole world is starving for attention and affection, and for the love they have not received from their families (who are too busy with their ministries or trying to obtain the American dream).
So you grow up fast. Look older than you really are, trying to be something you are really not, because hopefully, one day, someone will notice you. Someone will care enough to put their arms around you. Someone will speak the words you have been longing to hear. This is where I would like to encourage you <> DO NOT MISTAKE LUST for LOVE.
The human body mind and spirit was made for love, for intimacy, for family and friendship. Every relationship should have it's boundaries. If you are a Child of God, God's word lays it out very clearly. It is not good for a man to touch a woman, unless it is the woman he is married to. Marriage is good. Each man should have his own wife. There is a reason why He says that. For your protection and for your joy to be full. If you are not married, you should not be having relations with anyone.
Our bodies were made to react and respond to touch. It is foolishness to think that nothing will come of letting someone touch you. SO avoid being in situations that could cost you your innocense and purity. Just because the person says they are a Christian or loves God does not mean they do. Their charachter, respect, and right decisions will prove they love God, and if they truly love you or not. Same goes for you. I pray you listen. I pray that you will not put yourself in a position to give yourself away before you are married. It is not a game (even though it is in the world's eyes), it is your heart that will be broken and confused and aching.
HOW DOES A PERSON KEEP THEMSELVES PURE? KEEPING THE WORD OF GOD BEFORE YOUR EYES AND HIDE IT IN YOUR HEART.
If you have already been in relationships where you have compromised what was only meant for marriage, GOD FORGIVES and MAKES NEW. Do not keep repeating past mistakes. God can help you and restore you and give you new life. Please consider that WHAT YOU DO NOW WILL MATTER LATER.
